Thomas Circle, just around the corner from us, in 1911 and 2009.
Arrangement by Jason E. Powell

As I stated earlier I’ve lived in the DC area for just over 4 years.  That’s not a long period on any sort of timeline but it’s been long enough and my life has gone through enough phases in my time here that there are things I already feel are mostly in the past (and even more things that are completely in the past).  Hung out in Dupont Circle last night with the first two friends I made when I moved here and bar hopped to some places that used to be regular hangouts and I now get to once every few months if I’m lucky.  It was a pleasant, fun evening that was a warm reminder that I’ve put roots down here whether I wanted to or not.
Thomas Circle [pictured above] was my favorite part of my walk from the Metro to the first job I had when I moved here.  The job was awful but I always enjoyed the walk.
